Human trafficking is a problem here in the United States. We have labor trafficking such as domestic servants and farm workers. We also have over 100,000 American girls rape for profit every day/night. They are on our streets, in brothels, hostess clubs, truck stops, and more.
Girls who are most vulnerable have histories of sexual abused. In America, 1 out of every 4 females are sexually abused. Traffickers also prey on runaways who are found at bus stops.
Traffickers use lies, threats, debt bondage, physical abuse, rape, and false promise to control and keep the girls in sex trafficking.
Sex trafficked victims have at least 10 clients a night and they have to work everyday of the year. If you put it into prospective (10 men a night x 365 days a year), a victim is being raped 3650 times a year. There are over 100,000 victims in our own backyard across the nation.
If you see something call the national trafficking hotline. 1-888-3737-888
